When Eli of Coach Daddy asked me to participate in his six word story challenge, I loved the idea. Six words on something nice you can do for someone else. These are inspiring!
Today when I was out for a walk, I noticed a group of gardeners working on the common areas in a neighborhood. A homeowner came out of his garage with a case of orange sodas and was passing them out to the hot, tired-looking gardeners. I thought it was such a nice gesture, and helped those men get through the rest of their day 🙂
Check out Eli’s wonderful blog! And have a great day/evening!

Today’s the day to do something good.
It’s okay if you did something yesterday, or want to wait until tomorrow. Or do something all three days and even into next week. Today is Inconvenience Yourself Day. It’s also 6 Words Day around here, which makes for an interesting combination.
Every month, I compile a post called 6 Words. Ernest Hemingway inspired it when he said any story can be told in a six-word sentence. I ask bloggers, friends, strangers, and a few strange blogger friends to respond to a prompt.
Feb. 24 is Inconvenience Yourself Day. It’s in observance of doing little things for others for a day. In six words, tell of one way you can do something for someone else today – and then go and do it!

Thanks Jenny, she is so sweet. She is in her 80s and her husband is in a nursing home. She visits him every day even though he doesn’t know she’s there.

Love your shared story of neighborly camaraderie! I have been working all week on illustrating little greeting cards to friends at home, but maybe I will work on little illustrations for the people at work. Thanks for sharing this uplifting story!
